It was a beautiful day for fun in the country. Horses and riders left healthy after a great race meet. Reports indicate that everyone had a good time and are looking forward to next year.

A Message from Ronde' Barber

Dear Race Fans,

Hello, I am Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Ronde' Barber and I am pleased to be the honorary chair for the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Little Everglades Steeplechase which is being held Sunday, March 9th at the Little Everglades Ranch. Please join me in the country with your family, guests, clients and employees. Enjoy the thundering beauty and power of some of the world’s finest steeplechase race horses. Plus, come experience other event activities like the Jack Russell Terrier races, Carriage Parade, the Hat Contest, the hours of fun in the Children’s Area and Party Pavilion. It’s entertainment for all ages.

This day of fun will generate much needed funds for many of our local charities. The proceeds from the Mercedes-Benz Little Everglades Steeplechase will benefit Diabetic Charitable Services, Pioneer Florida Museum and Village and Quantum Leap Farm, Inc.
