The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to steeplechase racing and other equine events for the purpose of raising money for charitable causes. The Foundation was first established to offer the Tampa Bay area a unique social “Event of the Year” and at the same time provide much needed funds for our charities. With that in mind, The Little Everglades Steeplechase constructed a first class steeplechase race track and continues to promote the sport of steeplechasing. This growing equestrian foundation has also constructed a International Level Combined Driving course in support of the sport of Combined Driving.
The Steeplechase Foundation's many events brings an influx of patrons from all over the Untied States and countries around the world into Pasco County and Dade City. Much needed hospitality commerce is brought into the area benefiting the local businesses from the area’s hotels and restaurants to Dade City’s quaint shops and antique stores.
Pioneer Florida Museum & Village was established in 1961 with an initial donation of antique farming equipment.
