International Combined Driving Event

Our International Combined Driving Event is a three day long event that test carriage drivers and their horses in three different disciplines. The First day is Dressage which test the horse's response and obedience to the driver as well as testing the supple gracefulness and controlled strength of the horses. The second day of cross country and hazards, which uses many miles of the ranch's roads and fields, is a test of endurance, speed, and agility. The third day is a test of skill and speed for horses and drivers as they thread their way though a course of cones only slightly wider then the wheels of the carriage. During our January International Combined Driving Event you will see drivers and their teams from all over the United States vying for a place on the USA Team that will be competing at the World Equestrian Games in October 2010 in Lexington, KY!

Jack Russell Terrier Races

Jack Russell Terrier Races are second in popularity only to the horse races themselves. The dogs compete on a 150 foot straight course that has several hurdles over the length of the track. A lure attached to a piece of string entices the dogs down the course and the excitement and high energy of the Jack Russell Races is what entices spectators.

Steeplechase

Our steeplechase horse races take place on the beautiful mile and a quarter grass track located at the Little Everglades Ranch. What distinguishes a steeplechase from a standard horse race are the jumps that are located at various points throughout the course of the track. Each year in March, at the Little Everglades Steeplechase, 5 to 6 separate races are run on race day. Unfortunately, our Steeplechase has been canceled for 2010 due to the economy.
